When you think of the word “successful,” who’s the first person that comes to mind and why?
When I think of the word “successful,” I think of Satya Nadella. He inherited a company that was respected but rigid, and reframed it around a growth mindset, empathy, and long-term architecture. Under his leadership Microsoft shifted decisively to cloud and AI, opened its ecosystem, and—most importantly—changed its culture from knowing to learning. That blend of strategic clarity and human leadership created durable value: employees became more curious, customers more empowered, and the business more resilient. To me, success isn’t just hitting quarterly targets; it’s building systems and a culture that can adapt faster than change itself. Nadella exemplifies that—strategy becoming legacy.
